Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Urumqi to Burqin
Fly to Burqin. Visit Five-Color Beach at sunset — striped rock formations along the Irtysh River.
Day 2: Kanas Lake
Enter Kanas Nature Reserve. Boat cruise on the lake. Hike to Guanyu Pavilion for panoramic views over the emerald waters.
Day 3: Kanas
Explore the Three Bays — Moon Bay, Dragon Bay, Immortal Bay. Visit Tuva village for traditional music (throat singing).
Day 4: Hemu Village
Drive to Hemu — a pristine Tuva herder village. Horse riding through birch forests. Sunrise over wooden cabins with mist and mountains.
Day 5: Hemu to Burqin
Morning exploration of Hemu. Return to Burqin via the Altai scenic highway.
Day 6: Urho Ghost City
Drive to Karamay. Explore Urho Ghost City — bizarre wind-carved rock formations in the Gobi Desert. Oil field visit.
Day 7: Return Urumqi
Drive to Urumqi. Hot spring at Wudang. Farewell Uyghur feast.
Day 8: Departure
Morning: Hongshan Park. Airport transfer.
