Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1-3: Beijing
Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace.
Day 4-5: Xi'an
Terracotta Warriors, City Wall.
Day 6-7: Qinghai-Tibet Railway
Board the train in Xi'an. Cross the Tibetan Plateau — see Qinghai Lake, Kunlun Mountains, Hoh Xil nature reserve (wild yaks, Tibetan antelope), Tanggula Pass (5,072m). Arrive Lhasa.
Day 8-11: Lhasa
Acclimatization. Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera & Drepung Monasteries, Barkhor Street, Norbulingka. Departure from Lhasa.
