Best Time to Visit
Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November) are best. Summers are extremely hot โ Changsha is one of China's "three furnace cities."
Local Cuisine
Changsha is the capital of Hunan cuisine โ fiery, aromatic, and deeply flavorful. Must-try: stinky tofu (่ญ่ฑ่ ), rice noodles (็ฑณ็ฒ), Chairman Mao's red-braised pork (ๆฏๆฐ็บข็ง่), and spicy crayfish (ๅฃๅณ่พ). The city's night food scene is legendary.

Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX) connects to major cities. High-speed rail: 5.5h from Beijing, 2.5h from Guangzhou, 1.5h from Wuhan.
