Upon arrival at Zhengzhou, one of the eight ancient cities in China, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to visit the Shaolin Temple. The Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Chan Buddhism-cradle of Shaolin Kongfu. Taking a stroll through the temple, you are sure to learn more about Shaolin Kungfu while listening to the monks practicing in the yard. Then you take a short drive to visit the most famous scenic spot in Henan Province - the Longmen Grottoes, more than 100,000 images and statues of Buddha and disciples carved into the face of the cliffs alongside the Yi River. In the late afternoon, you will leave Zhengzhou to make your way to your next destination with many wonderful memories.

Traveling to Zhenzhou

About Zhengzhou: located just north of the province's centre and south of the Yellow River, is a national historical and cultural city in Henan Province. For tourists who are interested in Chinese ancient history, Zhengzhou is a must see. A long history has left Zhengzhou with many cultural and historic sites, such as Shaolin Temple, which is the cradle of Shaolin Kong Fu. If you are interested in Chinese Kong Fu, you should not miss it. In addition, the Yellow River Scenic Area is the best place to experience the culture of the Yellow River in Zhengzhou.

Shaolin Temple: located in the south of Luoyang and Zhengzhou, nestled in the foothills of Song Shan Mountain. Built 1,500 years ago, Shaolin Temple is considered the birthplace of Chan Buddism-cradle of Shaolin Kongfu. Taking a stroll through the temple, you are sure to learn more about Shaolin Kungfu while listening to the monks practicing in the yard. People from more than 30 countries and regions have come to the Shaolin Temple to receive Kungfu training.

Yellow River Scenic Area: about 30 kilometers northwest of Zhengzhou, is situated on the southern bank of the Yellow River. It is the best place to experience the culture of the Yellow River in Zhengzhou. The historic battle site is one of the cultural points in the park, where Liu Bang defeated Xiang Yu to cement his rule in 202 B.C. There is a Temple called Yueshan Temple in the park. The temple contains a large number of pagodas and a Stele Forest where 570 steles inscribed by well known calligraphers.
