Day-To-Day Itinerary
Day 01: TBA - Beijing Upon arrival in Beijing, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. As the capital of China, Beijing has a long history with an abundance of historical and cultural heritage-you cannot tear yourself away! The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 02: Beijing (B+L+D) Start your Beijing exploration with first visit to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Next, stroll through the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world: the Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner tonight.
Day 03: Beijing (B+L) After breakfast, drive about one hour to Badaling Great Wall, China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall. After lunch you also visit one of the Mind Tombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers north from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000.
Day 04: Beijing - Xian (B+L) Continue to explore the ancient city including the Hutong Trishaw tour in the morning, and then to the exquisite Summer Palace, which was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998. With its elegant overall arrangement, magnificent buildings and attractive scenery, the Summer Palace is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750.Take the afternoon flight to Xian, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 05: Xian (B+L) Enjoy a sensational day of sightseeing what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World --the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there. After lunch, visit the Bell Tower, which is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and initially built in 589.
Day 06: Xian - Guilin (B+L) Today the first stop in this pleasant city is Shanxi Provincial Museum showing you more than 370,000 relics including Bronze wares, terra cotta figures, gold and silver wares and murals with three thousand years. And next is the Great Mosque. One of five Muslim sanctuaries in China, the Great Mosque in Xian is the only one open to visitors. Take the afternoon flight to Guilin, which is famous for its breathtaking scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 07: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin (B+L) Enjoy a relaxing day of cruising on the scenic Li River. In the morning you will drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to start the Li River cruise. Along the river, you will be inspired by the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, crystal-clear water, lush bamboos and villages with water buffalos. The boat arrives at Yangshuo-a beautiful and quaint ancient town with one thousand years' old in the afternoon, after a short walk along the West Street , You will drive back to Guilin.
Day 08: Guilin - Kunmingi (B+L) Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 09: Kunmingi - Lijiang (B+L) After breakfast you will drive about 120 kilometers to the Stone Forest showing you a natural wonder of limestone karst formation formed 270 million years ago. The Stone Forest occupies an area of 400 square kilometers and consists of a whole range of karst formations. Then you make a beeline for the airport to Lijiang. Upon arrival in Lijiang, be met and transferred to the hotel.
Day 10: Lijiang (B+L) You will visit Ganhaizi Meadow, Baishui (White Water), take a chairlift to visit the Yak Meadow (3700 M) in the Yulong Snow Mountain. Yulong Snow Mountain stretches a length of 35 kilometers (22 miles) and a width of 20 kilometers (13 miles). Looking from Lijiang Old Town in the south which is 15 kilometers (nine miles) away, the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds, hence, the name Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The highest peak named Fan Peak (Shanzidou in Chinese) which is about 5596 meters above sea level. There are three cable cars in the mountain, the first to Glacier Park (4500 M), the second to Spruce Meadow (3200 M), the third to Yak Meadow (3700 M).
In the afternoon pay a visit to Baisha Frescos. These frescoes are both essential to the research of Chinese painting and important cultural heritage relics too.
Day 11: Lijiang (B+L) From Lijiang, you will drive about 60 Km to the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery, and the Iron Chain Bridge in the Stone Drum town. The town of Stone Drum got its name from a large, cylindrical, marble tablet shaped like a drum. The scenery is magnificent as the road running through the Lijiang valley which is filled with wheat field and drying haystacks.
Continue the driving 40 Km more to visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. With 34 rapids of the Yangtze River, it is called the Jinsha in this area because you can find gold in the river. Drive back to Lijiang in the late afternoon.
Day 12: Lijiang - Shanghai (B) The morning is left free for you to explore the city. In the afternoon, the tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to -Shanghai. Shanghai is the largest and most prosperous metropolis in China and known as the "Paris of the East". Upon arrival, you are greeted and warmly welcomed by our guides and transferred to the hotel.
Day 13: Shanghai (B+L) After breakfast, you will tour the elegant classic Chinese garden: the Yu Yuan Garden. Yu Yuan Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics. Then proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. After lunch, you will visit the Bund, where the great foreign commercial houses and banks built their imposing office buildings before 1930s. If time permits, you will stroll along the crowded Nanjing Road.
Day 14: Shanghai - TBA (B) The tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your sweet home with unforgettable memories. |
