Day-To-Day Itinerary
Day 01: TBA - Beijing Upon arrival in Beijing, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. As the capital of China, Beijing has a long history with an abundance of historical and cultural heritage-you cannot tear yourself away! The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 02: Beijing (B+L+D) Start your Beijing exploration with first visit to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Next, stroll through the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world: the Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner tonight.
Day 03: Beijing (B+L) After breakfast, drive about one hour to Badaling Great Wall, China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall. After lunch you also visit one of the Mind Tombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers north from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000.
Day 04: Beijing - Xian (B+L) Continue to explore the ancient city including the Hutong Trishaw tour in the morning, and then to the exquisite Summer Palace, which was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998. With its elegant overall arrangement, magnificent buildings and attractive scenery, the Summer Palace is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750.Take the afternoon flight to Xian, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 05: Xian (B+L) Enjoy a magnificent day of sightseeing what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World --the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there. After lunch, visit the Bell Tower, which is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and initially built in 589.
Day 06: Xian - Kunming (B+L) Today the first stop in this pleasant city is Shanxi Provincial Museum showing you more than 370,000 relics including Bronze wares, terra cotta figures, gold and silver wares and murals with three thousand years. And next is the Great Mosque. One of five Muslim sanctuaries in China,the Great Mosque in Xian is the only one open to visitors. Take the afternoon flight to Kunming. Kunming is home to a mix of ethnic groups and endowed with a remarkable traditional folk culture. Upon arrival, Our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 07: Kunming (B+L) After breakfast you will drive about 120 kilometers to the Stone Forest showing you a natural wonder of limestone karst formation formed 270 million years ago. The Stone Forest occupies an area of 400 square kilometers and consists of a whole range of karst formations. In the afternoon you will drive back to downtown city to stroll amongst the Flowers and Birds Market.
Day 08: Kunming - Dali (B+L) Take the morning flight to Dali, a well-known historical and cultural city inhabited by Bai people. After checking in and freshening up, you will pay a visit to Erhai Lake, the largest highland lake and one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China. Then proceed to the Three Pagodas, a symbol of the history of Dali City. Also enjoy wandering around the Dali Ancient Town first established in 1382 AD.
Day 09: Dali - Lijiang (B+L) In the morning take a 3-hour drive to Lijiang. Upon arrival, our local guide will escort you to begin the journey to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly, which is situated 15km north of Lijiang city, on the south bank of the Yangtze River with an altitude of 5600 meters above sea level. Also pay a visit to Baisha Frescos. These frescoes are both essential to the research of Chinese painting and important cultural heritage relics too.
Day 10: Lijiang (B+L) In the early morning we set out on the long drive to Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is regarded as one of the deepest gorges in the world with a depth of 3,000 meters. Here, the river twists and turns and vigorously swash against the rocks, the breakers sent up a fountain of spray. Then we head to the First Bend of the Yangtze River, a world-famous geological phenomenon and an unrivalled panoramic scene which makes tourists lingering. After lunch, we drive back to the city to stroll along the Ancient Town of Lijiang, which is respectively listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1997.
Day 11: Lijiang - Shanghai (B) The morning is left free for you to explore the old town. Take the afternoon flight to Shanghai. Shanghai is the largest and most prosperous metropolis in China and known as the "Paris of the East". Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 12: Shanghai (B+L) After breakfast, you will tour the elegant classic Chinese garden: the Yu Yuan Garden. Yu Yuan Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics. Then proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. After lunch, you will visit the Bund, where the great foreign commercial houses and banks built their imposing office buildings before 1930s. If time permits, you will stroll along the crowded Nanjing Road.
Day 13: Shanghai - TBA (B) The tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your sweet home with unforgettable memories. |
