Day-To-Day Itinerary
Day 01: TBA - Beijing Upon arrival in Beijing, Our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. As the capital of China, Beijing has a long history with an abundance of historical and cultural heritage-you cannot tear yourself away! The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 02: Beijing (B+L+D) Start your Beijing exploration with first visit to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Next, stroll through the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world: the Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner tonight.
Day 03: Beijing (B+L) After breakfast, drive about one hour to Badaling Great Wall, China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall. After lunch you also visit one of the Mind Tombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers north from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000.
Day 04: Beijing (B+L) Continue to explore the ancient city including the Hutong Trishaw tour in the morning, and then to the exquisite Summer Palace, which was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998. With its elegant overall arrangement, magnificent buildings and attractive scenery, the Summer Palace is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750.
Day 05: Beijing - Lhasa (B+L) Take the morning flight to Lhasa, which is reputed as the "Roof of the World" and the "Third Pole of the Globe". Lhasa offers breathtaking monastery sights, Tibetan Buddhist Culture, colorful ethnic minority custom, which should not be missed! After checking in the hotel, rest in the afternoon to get adapted to the high altitude.
Day 06: Lhasa (B+L+D) An extraordinary day to experience the unique atmosphere of this holy land. Your visit today will include Potala Palace, the symbol of Tibet, which functioned as the traditional seat of the Tibetan government and the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, and the Sera Monastery. As the last of the three principal Yellow Sect monasteries to be built in Lhasa, Sera is an important spiritual center for Buddhist monks. Later you also have a chance to pay a visit Tibetan Family. For dinner time, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tibetan Dance and Song Show.
Day 07: Lhasa (B+L) Another day to absorb the unique atmosphere of Lhasa: we will bring you to the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism - Jokhang Temple, and enjoy strolling along the Barkhor Street, where you can buy the handicrafts which are rare to be seen elsewhere in the world from the local Tibetan vendors. After lunch, you will also pay a visit to Drepung Monastery, the largest and the most powerful of the three major Yellow Sect monasteries in Lhasa.
Day 08: Lhasa - Xi'an (B) Feel free at leisure until be met at the lobby of the hotel and transferred to the airport to Xi'an. Upon arrival in Xi'an in the afternoon, you are met and warmly welcomed by our guide and drive to the downtown hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Day 09: Xi'an (B+L) Enjoy a magnificent day of sightseeing what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World --the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there. After lunch, visit the Bell Tower, which is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and initially built in 589.
Day 10: Xi'an - Guilin (B+L) Today the first stop in this pleasant city is Shanxi Provincial Museum showing you more than 370,000 relics including Bronze wares, terra cotta figures, gold and silver wares and murals with three thousand years. And next is the Great Mosque. One of five Muslim sanctuaries in China,the Great Mosque in Xian is the only one open to visitors. Take the afternoon flight to Guilin, which is famous for its breathtaking scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 11: Guilin - Yangshuo (B+L) Enjoy a relaxing day of cruising on the scenic Li River. In the morning you will drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to start the Li River cruise. Along the river, you will be inspired by the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, crystal-clear water, lush bamboos and villages with water buffalos. The boat arrives at Yangshuo-a beautiful and quaint ancient town with one thousand years' old in the afternoon, Take a short walk along the West Street before checking in the hotel in Yangshuo.
Day 12: Yangshuo -Guilin (B+L) The morning is left free for you to explore the county before driving back to the downtown city. After checking in the hotel and having lunch, continue to explore some of Guilin?? natural wonders: first to The Reed Flute Cave, called as "Art Palace of the Nature". This splendid karst cave is full with a myriad of stalactites and stalagmites formulates various bizarre scenes. And then go the Wave-subduing Hill (Fubo Hill), where you can have a bird's-eye view of the whole city on the very top.
Day 13: Guilin - Chongqing (B+L+D) Take the morning flight to Chongqing, the largest and most populous of the Chinese four provincial-level municipalities with a history extends back at least 3,000 years. Upon arrival ,our local guide will meet you and escort you to explore some of the city wonders before you are transferred to the ship for your pre-boarding tonight: first to the Ciqikou Ancient Town, one of the key historic districts under conservation in the urban area of Chongqing. Next, pay a visit to Eling Park. It is an ideal place to enjoy views of the Yangtze River and Jialing Rivers and the night views of Chongqing.

Day 16: Yichang - Shanghai (B+L) Disembark ship in Yichang and take the afternoon flight to Shanghai, the largest and most prosperous metropolis in China and known as the "Paris of the East". Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 17: Shanghai (B+L) After breakfast, you will tour the elegant classic Chinese garden: the Yu Yuan Garden. Yu Yuan Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics. Then proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. After lunch, you will take a walking tour of the old French Concession, the area of Shanghai once occupied by French in the mid-19th century.
Day 18: Shanghai -TBA (B) The tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your sweet home with unforgettable memories. |
