They are the followings: Temple of Heaven,The Palace Museum, Potala Palace, The Great Wall, The Cave of Peking man in Zhoukoudian, Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang and Museum of Terra Cotta Warriors, Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Taishan Mountain Scenic Area, Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area, Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Jiuzhaigou Ravine Scenic Area, Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Scenic Area, Chengde Mountain Resort and Temples, Mansion, Temple and Cemetery of Confucius in Qufu, Ancient Architectural Complex on Wudang Mountain, Lushan Mountain Scenic Area, Emei Mountain and Giant Buddha of Leshan, Ancient City-Lijiang, The Ancient City of Pingyao, Ancient Gardens in Suzhou, Summer Palace in Beijing, Wuyi Mountain, Dazu Stone Carvings and Zhouzhuang Village.
    Historical Wonders
    With an abundance of historical and cultural world heritage sites like Great Wall, Forbidden City, Beijing is undoubtedly number one place to go.

    The Great Wall is considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and enlisted in the World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. The total length of the Great Wall is 6,700 kilometers long stretching from Shanhaiguan Pass in the east to Jiayuguan Pass in the west.

    The Forbidden City, which consists of more than 9,000 rooms and covers an area of 72 hectares. Forbidden City is the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world.

    The Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The entire complex is a treasure trove of ancient Chinese architectural designs and arts and was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998.

    Xian, as the capital of six ancient dynasties of china, the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses is one of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries of all times. What has been called the 8th Wonder of the World -the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there.

    The Grottoes of Dunhuang include the Mogao Grottoes, West Thousand-Buddha Cave and Yulin Grottoes. The grottoes are about 25 kilometers southeast of Dunhuang in Gansu Province and are hewn from a steep cliff at the foot of Mingsha Mountain.     Lhasa means ¡°sacred land?in Tibetan, while Potala Palace, the architectural wonder in the center of Lhasa, is the symbol of that sacred land. Potala Palace is located on the Red Hill of Lhasa and originally built in the 640's. It functioned as the traditional seat of the Tibetan government and the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas. In 1961 Potala Palace was listed a national cultural site under state protection. The palace was repaired in 1989 with funds provided by the central government. In 1994 it was included in the world heritage list by UNESCO.

It comes out in front in the world in scenic spots and historical sites, spectacular landscapes, and colorful and varied national customs. The natural beauty of China's landscapes has long been the high reputation for attracting more and more tourists.

    Of course, the Yangtze River's Three Gorges are unparalleled among China's natural highlights. The city Guilin is famous for its breathtaking scenery, rivers and karst peaks. The scenic Li River in Guilin is considered one of China's best tourist attractions.
